Zon Eastes
Festival Orchestra ‘25
Zon Eastes is music director of Juno Orchestra, a professional chamber orchestra based in Brattleboro. Cellist and conductor, Eastes currently teaches at the Brattleboro Music Center. He has taught at Amherst, Dartmouth, and Keene State Colleges, and has performed as chamber musician, festival participant, and orchestra member in the United States, Canada, across Europe, and in China. An experienced leader and community builder with three decades of organizational management, community organizing, and public advocacy experience in arts and culture, Eastes currently serves in the Vermont state legislature representing the Windham-1 district. He served for six years at the Vermont Arts Council, as director of outreach and advancement, where he served on two national boards of creative sector service organizations and was a leader in the development of the Vermont Creative Network. He holds music degrees at the University of New Mexico and Stony Brook University.
