Olivia Currier

Olivia Currier is a mezzo-soprano from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She recently completed a season as an Apprentice Artist with the Sarasota Opera. Her principal credits include the role of Prinz Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus with Opera Magnifico, Edna in Joe Illick’s Stone Soup with Opera Steamboat, Beppe in L’amico Fritz with Amici Opera Company, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with New Jersey Lyric Opera, and Béatrice in Béatrice et Bénédict with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. A frequent recitalist and concert artist, she performed a selection from Mikel Rouse’s Failing Kansas in Marshall Opera’s Oral History Concert at the Lincoln Center and presented a recital at the Montpelier Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland, as a winner of their Classical Recital Competition. She was previously a Choral Scholar with Quintessence: A Community of Singers and was the alto soloist for Britten’s cantata Rejoice in the Lamb with the Lubbock Chorale. She has been awarded 1st Place at the Central Texas songSLAM Competition, a Semifinalist in the Camerata Bardi International Vocal Competition, and was a recipient of the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust. Ms. Currier holds a degree from Texas Tech University and resides in Waco, Texas. She is currently in her graduate studies at Baylor University under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Best.
