Nicklaus Porter

Nicklaus Porter, tenor, is an active operatic performer from Augusta, Georgia. He left his hometown in pursuit of furthering his education in music, earning his double eagle from Georgia Southern University with a M.M. in Vocal Performance and a B.M. in both Vocal Performance and Music Education.
Nicklaus has performed numerous roles, some of which includes; Siegmund (Die Walküre), Monsieur Vogelsang (Der Schauspieldirektor), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), The Pirate King (Pirates of Penzance), Il Re and The Woodcutter (La bella dormente nel bosco), and Thomas Putnam (The Crucible). He has also been a part of a local opera company, Moon River Opera, where he has been a frequent performer for their recital series and Improv Opera. Nicklaus is also an attendee of Dolora Zajick’s Institute for Young Dramatic Voices.
While not performing or practicing, Nicklaus spends his time playing games and watching shows with his wife, Hailey, while attempting to wrangle their three cats.
