Louise is excited to make her Wagnerian debut with TUNDI Productions!

Louise Floyd is a Chicago-based operatic bass-baritone known for her resonant voice and versatility. She began her career in Utah, with early roles such as Falke in Die Fledermaus and Germont in La Traviata, quickly earning recognition as a standout performer. Louise completed a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at UCLA, where she refined her craft under director Peter Kazaras, performing roles like il Conte in Le Nozze di Figaro, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, and Mother Goose in The Rake’s Progress.

After her transition to Bass-Baritone, Louise made her professional debut with Chicago Opera Theater in The Nose by Shostakovich, conducted by Lidiya Yankovskya. She also covered David Adam Moore in Soldier Songs and premiered the role of Object #3 in The Weight of Light, a chamber opera by Gillian Rae Perry and Marcus Amaker, with COT's Vanguard Initiative. In 2023, Louise received her first New York City stage reviews as Un altro cristiano in Poliuto with Teatro Nuovo. Known for her expressive performances and broad repertoire, Louise is an exciting new talent in the operatic world.
