Justin Ramm-Damron, Bass-Baritone, has been described as a "Poised and characterful bass- baritone" (Opera Today) and known to give "a menacing performance" (KDHX). He is very excited to sing in his first Ring Cycle with Tundi Productions. After covering a couple roles with them in 2024, he is returning in 2025 to sing the role of Fafner in both of Wagner's great works: Das Rheingold and Siegfried. Before he performs with Tundi Productions this summer, he will also sing the role of Ben in the world premiere of Asia's The Tin Angel with Teatro Grattacielo. As well as perform the roles of Frère Laurent and Le Duc in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette with Shakespeare Opera Theatre.
Most recently, he was a resident artist with Shreveport Opera, where he revisited the roles of Angelotti and Jailer in Puccini's Tosca and also performed the roles of Zuniga in Bizet's Carmen and Daters in Ching's Speed Dating Tonight!. While performing these operas he also performed for assisted living facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and for several private parties; all while performing two children's operas for thousands of elementary school students in the greater Shreveport area.
The previous summer, he sang the roles of the Sergeant in Puccini's La bohème and Curio in Handel's Julius Caesar; while covering the roles of Don Basilio and the Official in Rossini's The Barber of Seville, as well as Benoit and Alcindoro in Puccini's La bohème, and Cardinal Three in Glass Galileo Galilei as a Gerdine Young Artist with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. He then sang the role of Banco in Verdi's Macbeth with Shakespeare Opera Theatre in Virginia. Afterwards, he sang with New Jersey Lyric Opera as Sagrestano in Puccini's Tosca and as previously mentioned he covered the roles of Fafner in Wagner's Das Rheingold and Hagen in Wagner's Götterdämmerung with Tundi Productions in Vermont. Previously in 2024, he was seen performing with Bronx Opera where he performed the roles of Simone in Gianni Schicchi and Gaudenzio in Rossini's Il signor Bruschino.
In previous years, he covered the role of Melisso in Handel's Alcina with St. Petersburg Opera as a Studio Artist in 2023. The previous year he was an emerging artist with St. Petersburg Opera where he performed the role of Un Carceriere in Puccini's Tosca while covering the roles of Sagrestano and Sciarrone. He performed the role of Bartolo in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Magnifico and continues to sing for their outreach events. He performs often with the already mentioned New Jersey Lyric Opera where he has performed Angelotti in Puccini's Tosca, Dulcamara in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, as well as cover Monterone and Sparafucile in Verdi's Rigoletto. In 2023, he performed with Central City Opera, singing the role of Le Due in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette as a Studio Artist. He also has performed with Sarasota Opera as an Apprentice Artist where he sang the role of Un Officier Municipal in Massenet's Thérèse and covered the role of Masetto in Mozart's Don Giovanni in 2023. The previous year with Sarasota Opera he performed the role of Le Caporal in Donizetti's La fille du regiment. He earned his Master's degree from Northwestern University in Voice and Opera Performance studying under W. Stephen Smith. Justin performed the role of Caronte in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and Don Alfonso from Mozart's Cosi fan tutte with Northwestern Opera Theatre. He previously received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Sacramento State School of Music. He has performed many lead roles with the Sacramento State Opera Theatre, most notably Orgon in Mechem's Tartuffe and Don Annibale in Donizetti's II Campanello.
