Dick graduated from UMASS with a Bachelor of Music Education and studied with Walter Chesnut.  For over 50 years has performed with many different community bands in Western and Central Massachusetts.  He is also a member of the Winchendon Winds, a professional wind ensemble.  He has been playing with the Pioneer Valley Brass Quintet for over 40 years as well as Marty’s Reminisce Orchestra (big band).  He has also performed with the Widham Orchestra and the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra numerous times.  He sang Baritone with "The Grace Notes" Barbershop Quartet.
