Cass Panuska

Soprano Cass Panuska began her professional solo singing adventures in the San Francisco Bay Area, performing roles with companies such as Berkeley Opera, Opera San Jose, Pocket Opera, and The Bracebridge Dinner Theatre. Cass has also enjoyed working with composers and creating new works, showcasing her voice on “The Life Before Us,” a CD of new works produced by Parma Recordings on their Navona Records label.
Cass now makes her home in Deland, Florida, with her husband, baritone Torlef Borsting, and their two boys, where she teaches voice at Stetson University, owns and operates Banana Street Voice Studio, produces an intimate winter-time concert series, “Concerts on the Porch,” and runs a small family farm. She is also co-founder of The Pinnacle Singers, a professional eclectic cabaret group based in Central Florida, with whom she will perform the title role of Turandot for four spring-time performances in their reimagined English language version of the opera.
Since putting down roots in Florida, Cass has joined St. Augustine’s First Coast Opera in various concerts, and as The Rose in Rachel Portman’s opera “The Little Prince” (canceled due to Covid). She returned in 2023 to portray the role of Mrs. Gobineau in “The Medium.” Cass made her Opera Orlando role debut as Mother in “Hansel and Gretel,” in 2021, and has been back for concerts, as well as performing as one of the witches and role studying Lady MacBeth in their 2024 production of Verdi’s “MacBeth.”
Cass is so excited to join TUNDI productions for their 2025 festival! She can’t wait to get to know everyone and explore some Wagner as she “charges like a Valkyrie” into this next chapter in her vocal and professional growth.
