Born in Bogotá, Colombia. He graduated from the Central University of Colombia under the mentorship of maestros Sara Catarine, Camila Toro and Alejandro Roca. Awarded with the Barbara Smith Conrad Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Fine Arts and the Willa Stewart Setseck Scholarship; he completed his Master's studies in Opera Performance at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin under the mentorship of maestros Donnie Ray Albert, Jill Grove, Tamara Sanikidze, and Douglas Kinney Frost. In Colombia he debuted in 2017 the role of the Ogre (El Gato Con Botas – X. Montsalvatge) at Teatro Colón in Bogotá as part of the 125 years celebration of the theater and as part of the XX festival ‘Opera Al Parque’. In 2018 he made his debut for the National Opera and the ‘Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo’ in the roles of Lerhenauer and Musikanten in the opera Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss). He has also played numerous roles in the productions of the Opera Workshop of the Central University of Colombia.
Losada made his professional international debut with the Northern Lights Music Festival (2020) in Minnesota (USA) singing the roles of Sciarrone and Carceriere in the opera Tosca (G. Puccini) along with acclaimed Metropolitan Opera singers Leah Crocetto, Daniel Sutin and Rafael Dávila; under the direction of Gavriel Heine and Chía Patiño. By the summer of 2021 he successfully debuted the role of Superintendent Budd in the opera Albert Herring (B. Britten) with the Miami Music Festival under the direction of Steven Gathman and Marc Callahan; of this production the critic of the South Florida Classical Review highlights his performance as a "rich bass" in sonority. In the same year he debuted the lead role of Papageno in the opera The Magic Flute (W.A. Mozart) in Elgin, Texas for FAVA Opera. He has also made part of the Butler Opera Center in the city of Austin, where he has sung the roles of Dulcamara (L'elisir D 'amore – G. Donizetti), Edmund Bertram (Mansfield Park – J. Dove) and Masetto (Don Giovanni – W.A. Mozart).
More recently, Losada was part of the 2022 Opera San Antonio Apprentice Artist. Also, debuted with great success the role of Figaro in ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ by W.A. Mozart at the Red River Lyric Opera Festival at the MSU Fain Fine Arts Center in Wichita Falls, TX. In summer 2023 he performed the role of Dulcamara (L'elisir D 'amore – G. Donizetti) at the cities of Caravaggio, Valbrembo and Monte Marenzo in Italy; in the same summer he performed the bass solo in La Petite Messe Solenelle (G. Rossini) at Mendrisio, Switzerland. He also was part of the Fort Worth Opera Studio Artist for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 Season. Mr. Losada holds an Artist Diploma in Voice and Opera performance from the Texas Christian University at Fort Worth, Texas.
