Jacob Bowman, bass-baritone, is thrilled to cover Donner in Das Rheingold and Gunther in Götterdämmerung with Tundi Productions this summer. Most recently, he sang Angelotti in Tosca and John Sorel in Menotti’s The Consul with Angels Vocal Art last summer. Past roles include Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Bartolo in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Dulcamara in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Figaro in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, and Peter in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel. In September, he will cover Falke in Die Fledermaus with Wilmington Concert Opera. From 2021-23, Mr. Bowman lived in Israel and sang in concert with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Chamber Opera Orchestra. In 2019, he received an encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions as well as first prize in the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Competition. Mr. Bowman holds a B.M. from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and an M.M. from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, with further training at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara.
